Tim Patch on Beach

Born in the UK 57 years ago and migrated to Australia in 1977, Tim Patch does more with his penis than any other man in the world.

The worldwide appreciated artist uses as brush his own penis to paint almost all kind of subjects from landscapes to portraits and from female nudes to caricatures. His approach to painting techniques consists in dipping his penis in the paint and then applying it to a canvas. Although a modest man – former construction worker in BrisbaneTim Patch likes to be called ‘Pricasso’. Like the famous Picasso he might be considered one of the greatest artists in the world only that he is the greatest ‘penile artist’ ever.

His works are sold at fairly high prices starting from $200 (Australian $300) and he claims that his clients leave the exhibitions and the art galleries satisfied with … their acquisition, of course. Tim, aka Pricasso, is, in his everyday life a married man, father of four. He told AFP that he still does a bit of construction work just to compensate and subsidize his ‘meager income as a struggling artist’.

Pricasso took his work up on a dare from a woman friend at a party. Tim admits that he was embarrassed at first but he cracked the art market with his unique approach to painting.

What is his key to success? He never gets too excited. Pricasso paints for his own enjoyment considering the act of painting with his penis rather erotic and not sexual. ‘It is a gift, it’s art.’ he says on his official website. ‘I feel the very roots of my creativity stirring rising up merging with the subjects’ inner beauty climaxing in uncontrollable waves of divine euphoria.’

Sometimes life as a ‘penile artist’ has its inconvenient aspects as Patch himself confesses. The canvas becomes too rough and his ‘brush’ becomes irritated so he switched to paper and to smoother canvas ‘for a better effect’.

Pricasso tries to publicize a showbiz alter ego but he is still bothered by the fact that there are people who do not believe that his works are created only with his ‘100% natural brush’. But he has found a solution ‘Now I video tape all my work’. On his official website www.pricasso.com he offers his clients his paintings on canvas, 60×50 cm in size. ‘If you would like a masterpiece of your own then I will create it for you and to authenticate how your masterpiece was created each original painting comes with a DVD of the performance’. At the moment Tim ‘Pricasso’ Patch offers the net surfers the chance to see online recorded performance of him painting with his penis.

And yet Pricasso still has other artistic talents. Between 2002 - 2006 he worked on transforming his own house in Beechmont, Australia in a piece of art work. Between 1966 - 1967 he attended the courses of Portsmouth College of Art but he gave up before graduating. His art studio and house is his ‘biggest piece of Artwork to date’ but he considers it as an evolving piece of monumental art.

In July 2006 at Sexpo (an adult orientated exhibition) in Sydney Tim painted a portrait of another penis using artist, Alan Length, who in his everyday life is Justin Morley. Alan Length , who calls himself a ‘genital origamist’, uses his penis as a puppet creating replicas of the Loch Ness Monster, the Eiffel Tower or even … hamburgers. In 2001 both Pricasso and Alan Strength toured the USA with a very successful show. Their tour proves one more that art brings people together in any circumstances but especially when one uses both body and mind for creating a unique creative piece of art.

Art is surprising and sometimes innovation comes from the least expected sources. This time it comes from an Australian art lover who paints with his penis. Men can satisfy a wide range of tastes and expectations, art included. So be creative and use all your abilities to express your vision.
