Many people in Romania blame her for her public behaviour. Laura Andresan is for sure the Romanian star who has changed for ever people’s attitude towards sex and sexuality in this part of the world. Her role - after a few years of intense activity - in the showbiz has not come to an end yet.

At the age of 16 she started writing articles for newspapers in Bucharest. She remembers having worked with Ion Cristoiu - who was her senior editor. Luara is more than that kind of sexy bomb people tend to consider her. Cristian Tudor Popescu, Marius Tuca or Radu Morar are among her favourite Romanian journalists, it is not the case with those journalists who follow her everywhere just to find scandalous details about her public or private life.

At the age of 20 her destiny changed dramatically. She lost her job and she desperately wanted to find a job and her own way in life. At that time “Penthouse” - the world famous magazine - entered the Romanian market. Laura accepted to do a photo shoot for Penthouse. The pictures were really hot and were published in the Romanian edition of the magazien. On the publication day the media were set on fire. Most journalists and the civil society blamed her for the courage of appearing nude in that series of extremly provocative and explicit photos. That did not bother Laura Andresan. Her motto is “It is moral not to be like the others although the others are at the moment more numerous.” She actually says about those blaming her for her sexual life, for her public shows and for her relationships that they lack courage. In Romania, she says, people hide their interest in sex and the so called “immorality” because they are afraid to admit thay are in fact sexual beings interested in seeing, tasting and smelling - as normal instinctive behaviour not like some sort of pervert, abnormal or deviant practice.

Laura considers herself a good Orthodox Christian, aperson who believes in God and trusts Him. She is not as eccentric as she might seem. Her beliefs and principles do not include the horoscope or the parallel worlds theory as fundamental irrefutable truths. As a matter of fact she considers for example Julius Caesar - don’t even think about considering her Cleopatra - represents for her a reference point for the contemporary world.

In 2004 a good friend of hers advised her to start singing. She had took lessons and soon after that she released her first album - “Laura Andresan”. Her musical career is another way she follows to explore the world. Her rather hedonistic approach to life offended once more the public - at least a part of it. Her clip “The Mount of Venus” (mons pubis, mons veneris) is the first ever XXX musical clip in Romania. The two dancers and the two main characters of the video shot in a bar, and Laura of course, show their genitals in a series of hot scenes that show explicitly a man and a woman having sex. It is again about her approach to life - don’t walk the paths found by the others.

She admitted being bisexual - she likes both men and women. Actually in the above metnioned clip she passionately kisses her two female dancers. A few years ago she fell in love with another woman - Diana Cordeanu - and this was the first case of homosexual relations publicly admitted by a Romanian star. The tabloids followed her everywhere. She was repeatedly photographed by paparazzi and she even got into some legal disputes with other stars or with public authorities.

Laura was also blamed for her breast implants but she ignored every attack on her. Her lingerie line was a success and her numerous public appearances and shows are appreciated by the audience.

On July 14th, 2007 - the National Day of France - she was on tour in Romania. The performance in Botosani was the hottest show ever in that part of the country.

At the moment Laura presents a show on B1TV - a Romanian TV channel - late at night. The show is on various themes connected to sex and sexuality. Her producer - Grasu - composed specially for her a series of songs that fit her personality and actually prove she is the best.

They are both on a tour in discos around Romania. “Forbidden”(Interzis) which is the title of her next album drives the audience crazy in clubs. Laura is also preparing to launch the next album so she is looking for a good dance instructor to help her with some ideas for the shows to come.
